But the fears which existed during the summer over their transfer business are now coming back to bite them.
Davinson Sanchez has looked like an incredible addition at the back, a snip at £42 million.
But he also seems a bit of a luxury considering defence was already their position of strength.
Key problems in attack have not been addressed, namely their lack of pace, trickery, and players who can change a game.

Until their deficiencies in attack are solved and more support is given to Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane, Tottenham are likely to fall short in their pursuit of the title.
