The Rangers fans deserve to see some ambition at Ibrox.
Frank de Boer – Glasgow Rangers
Rangers are on the hunt for a new manager and the fans are certainly being ambitious in their hopes of a new appointment. One big name that has been linked is former player Frank De Boer. The ex-Ajax and Inter Milan coach has become a favourite with fan polls but only the most hopeful of Rangers fans truly believes he will come back to Ibrox.
Celtic appointed Brendan Rodgers in the summer and it has revitalised the Old Firm rivals, that’s what Rangers want.
The club sold 42,000 season tickets for the current campaign and have one of the most vociferous and passionate fanbases in world football.
But they have been through the mill recently and stuck by the team, but they won’t if the ambition is simply not being shown at the club.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton
Rangers need to be careful in avoiding the financial meltdown they have suffered but they also need to put themselves back in the fold if they are going to capitalise on their huge reputation and challenge Celtic once again.
De Boer, or a manager of his ilk, is what Rangers need to guide them back to the top.
