Liverpool new boy Mohamed Salah scored on his debut against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.
Liverpool new boy Mohamed Salah made quite the impression as he scored in the dying minutes of the first half to draw Liverpool level against Wigan Athletic, who had opened the scoring earlier (in the first half) with a well-taken goal from Alex Gilbey.

The Reds were largely poor during possession before the first goal went in, with Salah being the only positive in the front three which also included Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino. The midfield three also struggled losing possession easily on multiple occasions.
However, the Merseyside giants clicked into gear after Wigan took the shock lead. Liverpool kept pushing until the end of the first half when Firminho put it on the plate for the Egyptian to get his first goal in the famous colours.
Earlier, manager Jurgen Klopp named two separate lineups for each half, clearly not willing to take any risks on a heavy looking pitch at the DW Stadium.

The fans who travelled to the ground, however, got their money’s worth when just after 41 seconds Salah used his blistering pace race clear of the Wigan defence only to miss the target narrowly. The fans, understandably excited after seeing their latest signing took to Twitter to sing his praises.
