Emiliano Buendia’s agency, TwentyTwo Sports Management, have retweeted a post mentioning Arsenal’s interest in their client.
The extremely reliable David Ornstein revealed on The Athletic’s YouTube channel that Arsenal are interested in the Norwich maestro.
However, Ornstein states that the Gunners don’t want to meet the Canaries’ £40 million asking price.
Now, to add fuel to the fire, TwentyTwo Sports Management have retweeted a tweet which mentions Arsenal’s interest.
In truth, this could mean absolutely nothing.
However, if an in-demand player’s agency does something like this during a transfer window, people are bound to pick up on it.
Interestingly, Charles Watt – who is an Arsenal correspondent for Goal – mentioned that the Gunners have a great relationship with TwentyTwo Sports Management.

Speaking on YouTube, Watt said: “Arsenal have got very, very good relationships with Buendia and his agents. Same agency as Emi Martinez, Alexis Sanchez as well, and are in regular contact with them.
As Watt mentions, the Gunners have previously worked with the agency due to their ties with Emiliano Martinez and Alexis Sanchez.
On the basis of this information and Ornstein’s news, it really does feel as if this transfer story has some value to it.

However, that is just our view.
Whatever happens, we think Buendia would be a fantastic signing.
The 24-year-old has scored seven goals in 19 Championship games this season, while also registering an impressive six assists.
