£40m offer for Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen should be considered insulting

Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen is said to be the target of Real Madrid’s interest.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy should be insulted if Real Madrid do make a £40 million bid for Christian Eriksen.

The Sun claim that Madrid want Eriksen, but the Spanish side are simply not paying anywhere near his market value.

Eriksen may not have been in his best form so far this season, but he is short of fitness.

The Dane’s quality has been proven and he is one of the finest attacking midfielders in England.

For Madrid to feel that they can get Eriksen for just £40 million, in the modern market, is ridiculous.

Eriksen is worth a significant amount more than what Madrid are reportedly planning to offer, and Los Blancos’ first bid should be rejected instantly.

Tottenham are no longer a side who should feel as if they can be bullied by Europe’s giants. They are an established Champions League club of their own right.

Eriksen still has over 18 months left on his contract at Tottenham, and Levy is working on sorting out the midfielder’s future.

And Madrid’s offer is so low that Tottenham should not even have to consider it, before coming back with their response.
