WWE have lost some big names over the last few years and it looks set to continue with the departure of a former WWE and Heavyweight champion.

With so many young stars in the company now, it’s becoming even harder for some of the mainstays and mid-carders to keep their spot within the roster.

The likes of Carmelo Hayes, Jevon Evans, and Trick Williams are very much the future of WWE, while top stars like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk are going nowhere fast.

Now, it appears a multiple time champion is set to leave WWE.

Sheamus set to depart WWE after nearly 20 years

It’s getting to the point in time where some big WWE names will be moving on and it now looks like Sheamus is the latest to be heading out the door.

According to Sean Ross of Fightful Select, Sheamus has not come to terms on a new deal, meaning he will depart the company after nearly two decades.

Sheamus has been a huge success for WWE since his arrival and over the course of his career, he won the WWE championship three times and the World Heavyweight title once.

He became the first Irishman to be WWE champion and was involved in some major moments, stables, and matches through the years.

His quick win over Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 27 was one of the biggest shocks ever, while his tag team partnership with Cesaro as ‘The Bar’ was one of the most successful in recent times.

Now, though, it looks like things are over.

Almost confirming the news, Sheamus has also taken to his X account and changed his information to simply show his actual name, removing the WWE superstar handle as well.

If this is the end for Sheamus, then he leaves with his head held high a legacy and impact that few can say they’ve had.
