Leeds United loanee Mateusz Klich is impressing on loan at Utrecht.
Mateusz Klich’s spell at Leeds United was a big disappointment but the Pole is getting back on track on loan in Holland.
Klich returned to the Eredivisie with Utrecht in January after being selected to start just one Championship match.
At the weekend he produced his best performance yet as Utrecht won 4-1 away at Roda.
Klich was particularly impressive, providing one assist from one of four chances he created during the match.
He played all 90 minutes, making 74 touches and completing 90 per cent of his passes.
He is winning over supporters in Utrecht with one fan page writing, ‘after a few games we can conclude Klich really is an asset for Utrecht’,
His performance against Roda shows how Klich was used wrongly during his time at Leeds.
When he did play, he was featured in a defensive role but it is his creative talents which are once again coming to the fore in Holland.
Klich is hoping he can earn a place in Poland’s World Cup squad, where if he features he can really prove a point to former boss Thomas Christiansen.
