According to Sky Sports News, Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote has agreed a deal to sign for an unnamed Chinese side.

The Ivorian has long been tipped to leave St. James’ Park and now his manager Rafa Benitez has said he is confident a deal can be completed before the transfer window slams shut.

Sky Sports claims a deal has been concluded with a side from either Shanghai or Beijing.

In other news, Southampton have completed the signing of goalkeeper Mouez Hassen on loan from French side Nice for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has played 54 games for the club but is yet to feature this season.

Moving on, Reading have confirmed the loan signing of Jordan Mutch from Crystal Palace.

The midfielder will feature for Jaap Stam’s side for the rest of the season as the Royals attempt to maintain their impressive form and earn promotion back to the top flight.

And finally, the Daily Mail claims Brentford striker Scott Hogan has arrived at Aston Villa’s training ground ahead of his proposed move to Steve Bruce’s side.

Villa have been very busy in the transfer window but it seems they are not done yet and they could be about to seal a deal for one of the most exciting strikers in the second tier.
