Rangers ace Scott Arfield has been linked with an Ibrox exit.

Rangers’ Scott Arfield has received huge praise over the last week, and speculation now suddenly surrounds his future at Ibrox.
The Canadian played in a more advanced role against Hearts last week and grabbed a goal, before scoring a first career hat-trick against Motherwell on Sunday.
Arfield has stepped up in recent weeks, and has enjoyed a strong first season at Ibrox having joined Rangers on a free transfer from Burnley last summer.
A key player under Steven Gerrard for much of the season, Arfield is now being linked with a Premier League return, with the Daily Mail claiming that Southampton are keen.
This poses a major dilemma for Rangers. Arfield has been outstanding this term, and his ability both and off the ball has made him a favourite at Ibrox, making those runs into the box from midfield.
Rangers don’t really have another player with that quality unless Greg Docherty develops a little more, and selling a key player would not only leave a major hole in Gerrard’s team, but also leave fans feeling that top players will be sold to raise funds.

Yet in this case, it could be hard to resist. A £3million fee was mentioned, which is considerable money for a midfielder in his 30’s, who Rangers signed for free less than a year ago.
Making such a big profit could be tempting, allowing Gerrard to reinvest elsewhere. Such a bid would give Rangers plenty to think about, and Rangers fans may well be split on what to do.
