It looks like a Leeds United-linked player has said his goodbyes on Instagram.
Leeds Live reported on Wednesday that Sam Greenwood was set for a medical ahead of joining the Elland Road club in a £3 million deal.
And Mike McGrath, a journalist from The Telegraph, tweeted last night that an announcement could be made today at some point.
It seems fairly certain at this stage that the Arsenal teenager is bound for West Yorkshire – and even more so now.
The 18-year-old has confirmed that he is leaving the Gunners by posting a heartfelt goodbye to the North London outfit on social media.
There’s a good chance that Greenwood has already signed for the Whites, otherwise he probably wouldn’t have announced his exit from London Colney.
If and when this is confirmed, the young striker will go into Leeds’ Under-23 set-up.
United have signed a lot of players for the youth team since Victor Orta arrived as Director of Football three years ago, but spending £3 million on one of them is unique and underlines the club’s hope with regards to Greenwood.
