The Roma man would be an excellent addition to the Everton squad.
As Romelu Lukaku’s exit from Goodison Park edges ever closer, Toffees boss Ronald Koeman will be lining up potential replacements to bring into the club this summer.
The Dutchman has already spent heavily during the transfer window, laying out well in excess of £100 million, but it could be argued that he still lacks options in forward areas, with the signing of Sandro Ramirez not enough to fill the void that will be left behind by the 24-year-old Belgian.
With this in mind, Everton should consider targeting a more established forward, someone with Premier League experience, who has proven his quality over a sustained period of time, and who better than Edin Dzeko.

The 31-year-old Roma ace was in sensational form for the Italians last season, scoring 39 goals in 51 outings in all competitions.
Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international is incredibly strong in the air, and his large frame would be an undoubted asset to the Blues, especially if Koeman chooses to implement a more direct playing style into his team.
Dzeko is well experienced in England, having spent four years with Manchester City, so there will be no ‘settling in’ period required for the lethal hitman.
Roma will surely be reluctant to sell the striker, but Everton, armed with the £75-90 million from Lukaku’s impending sale, will be able to throw their weight around in the market.
However, the 31-year-old has three years remaining on his current deal in Rome, so the Toffees will certainly have to dig deep to force through a move.
If Koeman does manage to bring Dzeko back to the Premier League though, it could turn out to be a signing that makes all the difference for them this term.
