Sunderland are hoping to do a deal for Leicester City’s Leonardo Ulloa, but their efforts could be undone by a big money Chinese side.
Previously unheard of Tianjin Quanjan have been stalking Europe looking for a striker to sign, and have set their sights on Leicester’s Islam Slimani.

SkySports reported at the weekend that the Foxes have snubbed a £38 million move for the striker they signed from Sporting Lisbon just months earlier.

That would indicate they plan to keep him, but if the Chinese side return with an improved offer then it could become more difficult for Leicester to turn down even at this late stage.
Slimani, 28, has scored seven goals for Leicester this season, providing a decent but not spectacular return.

The Mail report that Sunderland have made an offer of £5 million for Ulloa, and hope to bring him on board to help negate the loss of Victor Anichebe to injury.
