Craig Gordon has told the Daily Record that Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney speaks very highly of the coaching staff at the Emirates Stadium.
Tierney was in wonderful form for Scotland last night, as the Arsenal left-back managed to claim three assists against the Faroe Islands.
Gordon, who played with Tierney at Celtic, has now seen a big improvement in the 23-year-old’s game.
And the goalkeeper says that Tierney attributes his development down to the quality of coaching at Arsenal.
“I thought he [Tierney] was incredible and he has taken his game on even further,” he said.
“He talks so highly of the Arsenal coaching staff and how they have helped develop him.

“For us, over the three games, he has been excellent, if not the standout in every single one.
“He has been magnificent and hopefully we can keep him fit and playing at this level.
“I think he is world class, I really do. He is so consistent as well and that is what makes him so good. He has been more consistent and tactically and technically he has improved, playing against better players week in week out. He has raised his level because of that.”
Tierney certainly does seem to have taken his game to new heights this term, through the quality of his displays.

The combative defender has become a key part of Arsenal’s first-team and now is one of the first men on Mikel Arteta’s team-sheet.
He is also not the first Arsenal player to rave about Arteta’s coaching methods.
Although the Gunners may not have had great success in the Premier League this term, Arsenal players constantly talk up Arteta’s coaching methods in the media.
And Gordon’s comments are likely to help convince Arsenal supporters that they have the right man in charge for the long-term, with the Spaniard at the helm.
