Arsenal’s failure to sign top target Julian Draxler has left plenty of fall-out, yet it seems his club were simply unwilling to negotiate.
Mixed information has been presented over whether Arsenal actually made an offer for the £37 million rated star, yet the player himself believes this was the case.
Draxler was appearing as a guest on Sky Deutschland this evening, injured and unable to play for Schalke, and claims he could have left the club this January.
His comments may ease the criticism slightly of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who has attracted flak for the club’s failed pursuit of the German, even though he himself suggested it was purely paper talk.
