Tottenham linked duo Vincent Marcel and Jean-Michael Seri look quite good together…
Two players linked with summer moves to Tottenham Hotspur combined for Nice to knock Ajax out of the Champions League.
Jean-Michael Seri provided an impressive backheel assist for winger Vincent Marcel to score the crucial away goal in a tie which ended 3-3 on aggregate.
It may have been better for Tottenham’s transfer chances if Nice were eliminated, although they must negotiate one more qualification round before they reach the group stages.
Seri is valued at £35 million by Nice and his assist helped show why he is so highly rated.

The Mail report that Seri is a player on Tottenham’s radar, with Eurosport France reporting they had a bid rejected last month.
The Sun reported earlier this summer that Spurs were plotting a bargain move for winger Marcel, and Nice will be glad after last night they managed to hold onto him.
Tottenham are yet to sign any players yet this transfer window, and it is hard to argue that they would not be a better side if they made a double swoop for Seri and Marcel.
A double transfer move may be tough, but if Nice do not make the Champions League group stages then there could well be some late action in the window from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy once again.
