£34m Arsenal and Leeds target about to undergo medical at another club

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United are about to miss out on FC Porto midfielder Vitinha to Paris Saint-Germain, according to 90min.

90min have reported that Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham United, Leeds, Everton and Newcastle United all want to sign Vitinha from Porto in the summer transfer window.

However, according to the report, PSG will beat all of them and sign the 22-year-old Portugal international midfielder after triggering the €40 million (£34.34m) release clause in his contract.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Vitinha will now undergo at PSG, who won the Ligue 1 title last season.

Vitinha struggled to make an impact during his loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers from FC Porto in 2020-21.

The 22-year-old made five starts and 14 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Wolves that season.

During the 2021-22 season, Vitinha made 27 starts and three substitute appearances in the Portuguese league, scoring two goals and providing three assists in the process.

The Portuguese youngster also made two starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for Porto last season.
