In one of the most bizarre stories of the season, Harry Redknapp appears to be a contender for the Leeds United job.

According to The Mirror, Redknapp has indicated that he’s open to taking the Leeds job, and that’s a very interesting, if strange, idea.

Of course, whenever Redknapp gets a job it’s always interesting to see what type of player he signs. Redknapp always has some transfer tricks up his sleeve, and there’s one player on the market right now we think would make the world of sense as a Redknapp signing at Leeds.

Indeed, If Harry Redknapp were to become the next manager of Leeds United, it would not be surprising to see him bring in Danny Rose.

While Rose’s career has taken a downward turn in recent years, he is still a talented left-back who could provide the depth that Leeds currently lack in that position.

Furthermore, Rose knows the club well, having come through their academy. He would also be a free transfer, making him a viable option outside of the transfer window.

Redknapp is known for his shrewd transfer deals, and he has a history of signing players he has worked with before. Rose played under Redknapp at Tottenham Hotspur and was a key player for the club during his time there.

While there are risks associated with signing a player like Rose, there is also the potential for this to be a decent deal. If Redknapp can get the best out of Rose and help him rediscover his form, he could be a valuable addition to the Leeds squad. Rose’s experience at the highest level could also prove useful in a team that is battling against relegation.

Of course, there are big concerns that Rose’s best days are behind him – he’s looked out of sorts for years at this point, and while he may not be able to contribute as much as he once could, the fact that he is a free transfer means that there is little risk involved in giving him a chance. If he doesn’t perform, Leeds can simply let him go without any financial repercussions.

Overall, the potential signing of Danny Rose by Harry Redknapp for Leeds United would make a lot of sense, and it’s one to keep an eye on if Redknapp does end up getting this job somehow.
