Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have wanted to sign Ismaila Sarr for a while now, and it seems that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will get another chance to get the Watford winger at the end of the season.
And perhaps this time it will be the best chance of them all.
Liverpool linked with Watford winger Ismaila Sarr previously
Back in August 2022, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffSide that Liverpool have followed Watford winger Sarr “for years”
Romano said that although Liverpool never actually bid for the Senegal international winger, the departure of Sadio Mane for Bayern Munich last summer could see the Reds make a move for him.
Liverpool never did.
The Athletic have reported that Liverpool as well as Manchester United considered a move for the forward when Watford got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2019-20 season.
Nothing materialised at the time.

Another chance this summer
However, it now appears that the Merseyside club could now have another chance to sign Sarr, who is “frightening” and whose “acceleration is phenomenal”, according to his former Watford teammate Ben Foster on the Premier League’s YouTube channel in September 2021.
The Athletic are reporting this morning that Sarr will leave Watford at the end of the season.
The £30 million winger will move on from the Hornets even if they win promotion to the Premier League from the Championship at the end of the season, according to the report.
Watford are playing in the second tier of English football at the moment after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.
Sarr will have just one year left on his contract by the end of the season, and Liverpool could be able to sign him for a cut-price deal.
