It has been reported in recent days that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Ismaila Sarr [TEAMtalk].

This is one of the wingers who Liverpool have been linked to quite a lot over the past two years, following his arrival in English football.

Sarr joined Watford in a £30 million deal back in 2019.

And if he wants a move to Anfield, well what an opportunity he has to impress on Saturday.

That’s because Liverpool are away to the Hornets this weekend and if the 23-year-old impresses, he might well convince Klopp to make his move in January.

Audition

Of course, other factors will be taken into consideration with regards to whether the German manager is going to sign him.

But this is Liverpool we’re talking about and if the Senegal international tears Trent Alexander-Arnold or Andy Robertson a new one, depending on which wing he starts on, it’ll speak volumes.

Klopp has two of the best full-backs in Europe, two players who, more times than not, boss whoever they’re marking on the day.

But if Sarr can give one of them a long afternoon, and he might, then what more evidence will Klopp need that he’s the right man?

Remember, Liverpool are going to need a long-term replacement for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah over the coming windows, with both turning 30 next year.

Klopp will have one eye on the next generation of stars at Anfield and it might be in Sarr’s own hands whether he’s part of that or not.
