Eric Bailly has told the Pure Football Podcast that Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is the manager he would most like to play for in the history of football.
The £30 million Manchester United defender (BBC Sport) was asked which manager he most admires by Guillem Balague.
And it says a lot about the Everton boss’s standing that Ancelotti was the name he picked out above all others, when asked who he would most like to be managed by.
“From all the managers in the history of football? When I was younger we always watched Chelsea who were lucky to have Mourinho, but I have always liked Ancelotti,” he said.
Ancelotti was a hugely ambitious appointment for Everton when he did arrive, and the club have quickly seen the benefit of having such a talented and experienced manager in charge.
The Toffees have been able to attract big name players such as James Rodriguez to the club, with numerous members of their current squad also improving under his guidance.

The progress that Ancelotti has made at Everton has already been vast, with their win over Liverpool at Anfield last weekend testament to that.
That victory has propelled Everton into a great position in the Premier League standings, and there is even hope that they could push for a top four spot this season now.
