Some Rangers fans are warning any Borna Barisic suitors they’ll need to break the bank to sign him, after the left-back starred for the Gers in the wake of alleged interest from Leeds United.
The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard insisted via the club’s Youtube channel on Tuesday that there had been no contact, as yet, from Leeds regarding Barisic.
But with the Croatian having scored and assisted in the Gers’ 3-0 win against St Johnstone earlier (Wednesday), that could soon change.
And this is what those of a Rangers persuasion have had to say in the event that it does…
Barisic has established himself as one of Rangers’ key men since his 2018 move from Osijek.
With three goals and 20 assists in 65 games in that time, the 27-year-old has arguably made a mockery of his £2.2 million transfer fee.

And, having tied him to a contract until 2024, Rangers can expect a significant return on their outlay should interest from Leeds – or others – manifest.
Leeds have begun the summer transfer window with just one specialist left-back, Barry Douglas, although several other Whites players can operate in the role.
