Aaron Ramsdale has taken to Twitter to send David Brooks a message, after the Bournemouth maestro was sadly diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

What’s the story?

Well, the Welshman released a statement on Twitter, which revealed that he’s been diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Brooks paid tribute to the medical department at the Wales national team, who helped him detect the illness quickly.

That may have been an absolutely crucial discovery.

Ramsdale – who played alongside Brooks at Bournemouth – was clearly concerned after hearing the news, and lent his support on Twitter.

You can see the £30m man’s message below.

It’s nice to see Ramsdale send a message of support, and hopefully, Brooks will make a full recovery before returning to football once again.

Who else has reached out to David Brooks after Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosis?

The football community has truly rallied around the 24-year-old amidst what must be a seriously difficult time for him.

Sol Bamba, who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in January 2021 before returning this season, messaged Brooks after hearing the news.

Tyrone Mings also sent Brooks a message, as did Arsenal, Chelsea, England and Bournemouth’s official Twitter accounts.

There are many more messages, and it’s great to see how much positivity is being sent in the direction of Brooks.

The mercurial playmaker is most certainly not going to enter this fight alone – he has the backing of the football world, and beyond.

Everyone on HITC wishes the 24-year-old the very best in his recovery, and hopes to see him giving defenders nightmares again as soon as possible.
