Everton are chasing Bournemouth and Arsenal strikers.
The Toffees are hoping to beat Tottenham Hotspur to King’s signature, despite Bournemouth’s £30 million asking price.
King is not Everton’s only option, with Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud a £20 million target according to The Sun.

Giroud has more proven pedigree, he is an established international striker who has scored goals in the Champions League.
He also wants to stay at Arsenal, and Everton may be wasting their time pursuing a player whose heart is not in a move to Goodison Park.
Giroud, 30, is five years older than Josh King, and the Bournemouth star better fits the profile of player they are seeking to sign.

King would command cheaper wages than Giroud, and has potential to improve further. The Arsenal man may already have peaked.
Norway international King is more mobile than Giroud, even if he doesn’t possess the Arsenal striker’s physical prowess.
He netted 16 Premier League goals last season, more than he has scored in any campaign in his career so far.
If Everton can tap into that momentum he could be a real star. Giroud could be a good signing, but King may be better suited for the young exciting team the Toffees are putting together.
