Christian Atsu has taken to Twitter to bid farewell to Newcastle in an emotional message to the St James’ Park faithful.
The 29-year-old joined Newcastle from Chelsea in a deal worth £6 million back in 2017, after he impressed on loan in the Championship.
Sadly, his time at Newcastle wasn’t very successful under Steve Bruce.
Atsu failed to make a Premier League appearance this season, and played just one first-team game.
That came in the Carabao Cup win over Blackburn, while he also made six appearances in the Premier League 2.
Despite that, the 60-cap Ghana international clearly enjoyed his time on Tyneside judging by his emotional message.
You can see what Atsu wrote below.
Atsu leaves with his bridges far from burnt
He will be fondly remembered by Newcastle fans for his efforts in the Championship.

Atsu was a key member of the side who helped get the Magpies back to where they belong.
In total, the £30,000-a-week forward made 121 appearances for Newcastle, scoring eight goals while providing ten assists.
Interestingly, he spent far more time at Newcastle than he did anywhere else, as Transfermarkt shows.

At 29, Atsu still has a few of his best years left.
Hopefully, he can find a new home and play first-team football week in, week out.
It can’t have been much fun playing youth team football every week this season, to say the least.
