Arsenal face West Ham United on Wednesday evening, and it’s fair to say that this could be a tasty fixture.

Any London derby is usually an interesting affair, but this one will have just that bit of extra bite.

Indeed, West Ham and Arsenal are both jostling for position in the Premier League, and the Hammers have made a habit of claiming big scalps this season, beating both Chelsea and Liverpool in recent weeks.

The Gunners have been in the headlines this week after stripping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of his captaincy, and all eyes may be on who’s wearing the armband tonight.

With all of that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Arsenal’s starting XI here.

We think that Mikel Arteta will go unchanged for this match against West Ham.

Arsenal dismantled Southampton at the weekend, and, in our view, it’s hard to pick out a player who deserves to lose their place in the squad after that win.

We’re tipping Alexandre Lacazette to take the captain’s armband this evening, but, it also wouldn’t shock us if Kieran Tierney or Granit Xhaka were given the honour of leading Arsenal out against the Hammers.

Gabriel Martinelli gets another start after his performance left fans purring at the weekend, and if he continues to perform, he may get a lengthy run in the side from here on in.
