Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers could get more for Alfredo Morelos than their rivals got for Moussa Dembele.

If Alfredo Morelos carries on in the same vein, he could be worth an absolute fortune to Rangers next summer.
Celtic picked up a hefty £19.7 million when they sold Moussa Dembele 12 months ago [Sky Sports] – but the Gers should expect a bigger sum if Morelos does the business again this season.
We aren’t even midway through September and he has already scored one-third of his 30-goal haul from last term.
Morelos has 10 goals to his name this season across all competitions and it looks very probable that he will at least equal his record from the 2018-19 campaign.
And if he does, there’s just no way that Steven Gerrard can’t demand more for the Colombian than the Hoops received for Dembele.
The Frenchman struck 32 goals across all competitions during his first season in Glasgow, before following it up with 16 the following year. Overall, the former Fulham star, who left after a month of last term, scored 51 times in two seasons, but if Morelos reaches the 30-goal barrier again then he’ll have scored 78 in three seasons.
It’d be a phenomenal return and one that indicates that Rangers will be getting a huge compensation fee if they move him on next summer – especially if he curbs his disciplinary issues.
Picking up five red cards last season more than likely deterred many potential suitors from making a move during this past summer, but if the Colombia international – contracted to Ibrox until 2023 – demonstrates that he can control himself then there’s no reason why clubs wouldn’t pay top dollar for him next year.
The bottom line is that if their Old Firm rivals received virtually £20 million for Dembele – who had two years left on his Bhoys contract at the time of his sale to Lyon – then Rangers could and definitely should be picking up more for their star striker next summer.
