Watford are hoping to sign Henri Lansbury from Nottingham Forest.
Premier League side Watford are pushing to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury, SkySports report.
Lansbury had a spell with the Hornets on loan earlier in his career, and joining his former side has to be more tempting than making a controversial switch to Forest’s East Midlands rivals Derby County, who are also showing an interest.

Forest have rejected a £2.5 million bid but SkySports report Watford are expected to return with a higher offer.
What if that offer involved players as well as or instead of cash? Should Forest give it greater consideration?
Here is a look at three Watford players Forest should insist become part of any deal…
Costel Pantilimon
Watford’s Costel Pantilimon
Nottingham Forest were left short in the goalkeeping department when Dorus De Vries left for Celtic late in the last transfer window.
A loan or permanent move for Romanian goalkeeper Pantilimon would solve their problem, with the ex-Manchester City man playing second fiddle to veteran Heurelho Gomes.
Pantilimon stands tall at 6 foot 8 and would be an eye catching addition at the City Ground.
Adlene Guedioura

This is one player who would need no introduction at Forest, with Guedioura previously spending time at the club on loan and on a permanent deal before being sold to Crystal Palace in 2014.
The Algerian has only eight Premier League starts for Watford this season and could be deemed expendable by Walter Mazzari if Lansbury is brought in.
He would be a ready made replacement at Forest and his experience would be just what is needed to steer them clear of a relegation battle.
Jerome Sinclair

Highly rated young attacker Jerome Sinclair quit Liverpool’s academy in search of regular football in the summer, but has not yet found it at Watford.
A loan into the Championship is likely and Forest could demand first option in the race to sign him up.
