Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, amidst concerns over their ability to tie down Hugo Lloris to a new long-term contract (the Express).
The 22-year-old has proven to be such an integral part of the Black Cats’ resurgence in form of late, and they will surely do everything within their power to keep him at the Stadium of Light.
As is so often the case though, when a big club comes calling, it is easier said than done for the smaller clubs to keep hold of their stars, and if Sunderland are forced to part ways with Pickford, here are three Tottenham players who they should look at as part of any kind of potential deal:
Michel Vorm:

A goalkeeper is an obvious choice on the list of potential players Sunderland should consider, if Pickford eventually leaves.
The Dutchman has a wealth of experience in the Premier League, is a fine shot-stopper, and at 33-years-old, he is arguably entering the prime years of his career for a goalkeeper.
A no-brainer.
Kevin Wimmer:

The Austrian hasn’t done a lot wrong for Spurs when he has been called upon, but it is unlikely he will be happy at being purely a back-up for Jan Vertonghen over the foreseeable future.
At 24-years-old, he is still at the age where he can improve further and become a truly top-class centre-back.
The Black Cats record of 24 goals conceded in 14 Premier League outings so far is the fifth worst in the division, and defence must be an area where David Moyes would like to strengthen.
Tom Carroll:
Tottenham’s Tom Carroll
The 24-year-old central midfielder is a wonderful passer of the football and comfortable when receiving the ball in tight areas.
With the signing of Victor Wanyama and the emergence of Harry Winks, it is unlikely that he will receive much game time over the next few seasons, and a move away from the club could be beneficial to his development.
Sunderland have plenty of tough-tackling ball-winners in the middle of the park, but they do lack a true ball-playing midfielder who is able to dictate the tempo of a game.
Carroll would be the perfect addition to the Sunderland squad.
