3 Tottenham players Everton could demand as part of a potential deal for Ross Barkley

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Everton star Ross Barkley.

The Evening Standard are reporting today that Spurs are considering a £35 million bid for Everton star Ross Barkley, in an attempt to help get the best out of Harry Kane.

With the 23-year-old’s contact with the Toffees set to expire in the summer of 2018, Ronald Koeman could be tempted into selling the midfielder.

If Barkley is allowed to leave the Merseyside club, they must ensure that they sufficiently replace the England international, and the easiest way to do that, would be to incorporate one or two Tottenham players into any kind of potential deal.

Here are three Tottenham players who Koeman should consider, if Barkley is sold to the Londoners:

Michel Vorm:

The 33-year-old Dutchman is an accomplished, experienced goalkeeper.

It is no secret that Everton are in desperate need of a consistent number one, and Vorm would be the ideal candidate.

He would also benefit highly from playing regular first-team football, and could prove to be a major asset for the Blues.

Moussa Sissoko:

Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko

The Frenchman decided to move to White Hart Lane instead of Goodison Park in the summer, after making an 11th hour u-turn, and despite this, he would still be a great asset to Ronald Koeman’s side.

His power and pace in both central and wide positions would be something that would provide the Everton boss with a greater variety of options, from both a tactical and personnel aspect.

He would also be capable of filling the void left behind by Barkley.

Kevin Wimmer:

Tottenham’s Kevin Wimmer

Everton’s ageing backline must be an area of concern for Ronald Koeman, and the signing of a young centre-back has to surely be high on his list of priorities.

The 24-year-old Austrian would be the ideal acquisition for the Toffees.

He’s strong in the air and fantastic at reading the game. He would slot straight in to the Everton defence, and would arguably be the most important signing that Koeman could make at this moment in time.
