As Julian Nagelsmann has been linked relentlessly with the Tottenham Hotspur manager job, we have looked at the three strikers he would love to work with in the event that Harry Kane ends up leaving in the summer.

It has been previously reported that the former Bayern Munich boss is a huge admirer of the England captain’s and would have liked to have brought him in to replace Robert Lewandowski during his time at the Allianz Arena.

But as it seems likelier by the day that Harry Kane will exit Tottenham Hotspur, we have named the three strikers that manager Julian Nagelsmann would fancy working with in N17 if the club legend leaves.

Rasmus Hojlund would be the perfect Nagelsmann No.9 if Kane departs

Much like Yussuf Poulsen at RB Leipzig and Sandro Wagner at Hoffenheim, Rasmus Hojlund is also a target man, a profile that the German tactician clearly loves in his teams.

If Harry Kane does leave Tottenham, Julian Nagelsmann may prioritise the Atalanta No.9 as one of his first signings as the club’s new manager, due to his ability to bring others into play, hold the ball up and create space for others.

Rasmus Hojlund is also extremely physically imposing and unlike the aforementioned names, has pace to burn, which is perhaps why he has been likened to Erling Haaland.

Working with a striker as young as him, who also possesses such positive traits would make Julian Nagelsmann smile and be one of his first demands as Tottenham manager if Harry Kane leaves.

Vitor Roque ticks every single box and Julian Nagelsmann would rate that highly if Harry Kane bids farewell

While Vitor Roque profiles a lot more differently to Harry Kane, manager Julian Nagelsmann may fall in love with the youngster due to just how complete he is already.

A phenomenal finisher blessed with a low centre of gravity, incredible 1v1 ability and silky feet, the Brazilian wonderkid is in the mould of vintage South American No.9’s of yesteryear.

Unlike Hojlund in some ways, Roque can produce something out of nothing due to his special on-ball ability, whilst being a top chance creator and passer as well, which makes him one of the most highly-rated young prospects in the world.

If Julian Nagelsmann does end up becoming the next Tottenham manager and subsequently working with the youngster, he could develop him into a superstar of the level of Harry Kane.

Iheanacho is the closest thing to Kane in the Premier League and Nagelsmann may favour that

Some may scoff at this comparison but Kelechi Iheanacho’s ability to be a playmaker from deeper areas and his excellent eye for a pass are underrated qualities in his game.

The Nigerian international’s weighted through ball for Timothy Castagne’s winner against Wolves is a true indicator of his playmaking ability.

In the event that Harry Kane does depart Tottenham, manager Julian Nagelsmann may see a like-for-like replacement for him in the Foxes striker, whose ability to drop deep and create is sublime.

Iheanacho, much like Kane is also brilliant at playing with his back to goal and is much more than just adept at linking up play as he can pull the strings from deeper zones in the same vein as the Englishman.
