Arsenal won the FA Cup last weekend and will hope that can propel Mikel Arteta’s reign to the next level when the 2020/21 season kicks off.
Wembley hero Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has – according to the Telegraph – been assured new arrivals will be coming in this summer, which apparently has got him on the verge of signing an extended deal.
We’ve picked out three players the Gunners should sign to build on that silverware…
Gabriel Magalhães
According to UOL, Arsenal are among the clubs interested in the Lille defender.
William Saliba will be returning from loan but he needs a reliable partner, given David Luiz’s propensity for brain fades.
The report says that Lille are seeking a fee of around 20 million euros (£18 million), which should be affordable now that Arsenal have ensured the finances which come with Europa League qualification.
Arteta has done very well with what he has but now the time is right to invest in defenders who can take the club further than the likes of Luiz.

Thomas Partey
According to the Guardian in July, Arsenal have made two bids for the Atletico Madrid destroyer.
They insist they are holding out for his £45 million release clause, which is not an obscene asking price, even in the current climate.
Partey shone against Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League in March, making four interceptions, four clearances and four tackles in Atleti’s 3-2 win (WhoScored).
Marca report Partey will make a decision on his future this month and Arsenal will hope he opts to swap Madrid for London.

Joelson Fernandes
A Bola report that Arsenal have an interest in yet another Kia Joorabchian client.
Teenage winger Fernandes apparently has a release clause of £41 million, which is an awful lot for a 17-year-old.
That said, Arsenal may hope their approach of relying on agents can help them get Fernandes over the line for less than that.
He may well be one for the future like Gabriel Martinelli was when he signed last summer, but Arteta needs to build a young group of players who can form the bedrock of this Gunners side for years to come.
Goal claimed he’s walking in Cristiano Ronaldo’s footsteps, and if he’s even half as good as that, he is worth a punt for Arsenal at the right price.
