Leeds United should make a few changes for their next Championship fixture.

Thomas Christiansen manager of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Nottingham Forest and Leeds United at City Ground on August 26, 2017 in Nottingham,...

Leeds need only look at the top of the Championship table to realise they do not need to over react to their loss to Millwall.

The team still sit top after eight games on goal difference, having suffered just one defeat this season.

Yet there are still a handful of tweaks Leeds should make ahead of their next league game, on Saturday against Ipswich Town.

In midweek they will rotate their squad to visit Burnley in the EFL Cup, but the game with Ipswich is of bigger priority, as nice as it would be to beat the Premier League side.

Here are three changes they should make next weekend…

Pablo Hernandez out (Kemar Roofe in)

Pablo Hernandez of Leeds is tackled by Bradley Johnson of Derby during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Derby County at Elland Road on January 13, 2017 in Leeds,...

Leeds need to find a way to get Kemar Roofe back into the starting line up and Pablo Hernandez should be the one to make way.

This was the change Leeds made at half-time at Millwall, with the Spaniard managing only 20 touches in 45 minutes.

Hernandez would have more success at Elland Road in their next game, but Roofe is playing too well at the moment to sit out two league games in a row from the start.

Kalvin Phillips out (Ronaldo Vieira in)

Kalvin Phillips has been tremendous through the early part of this season but Vieira is a big talent and he has fresh legs.

The 19-year-old has been waiting for his chance and if he impresses against Burnley in midweek then he could force his way into the side.

Vurnon Anita out (Gaetano Berardi in)

Gaetano Berardi of Leeds United FC passes the ball during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion at Elland Road on October 17, 2015 in Leeds,...

Vurnon Anita has been a shrewd addition for Leeds since he joined after his Newcastle contract expired, but he was never intended to become the club’s first choice left-back.

It has been a real positive that he has been able to fill in, but Gaetano Berardi is fit again after injury and should be brought back into the team.

It was a possible mistake from Christiansen not to start Berardi against Millwall, and Anita should sit the next game out.
