Andre Villas-Boas’ agent has refused to rule out his client for the Celtic job.

Andre Villas-Boas, the newly announced football coach for Shanghai SIPG, speaks during a press conference in Shanghai on November 4, 2016.

Andre Villas-Boas’ agent has commented on the possibility of the manager landing the Celtic job.

Jean-Paul Lares is quoted by the Scottish Sun: “Andre has the deepest affection for both Scotland and the Scottish people and the fondest memories of the time he spent there.

“But we have received no offers from Scottish clubs and no decision has been made on his future, so there’s no way a valid comment can be made on this subject.”

Not a yes, also not a ‘no’ either.

Neil Lennon is currently the club’s interim boss.

If Villas-Boas were to be offered the Celtic post, here is a look at three of his former Chelsea and Tottenham players he could target.

Aaron Lennon

Aaron Lennon of Everton looks on as he warms up prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Watford at Goodison Park on November 5, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Lennon is currently at Burnley and in need of a fresh challenge in his career.

He was Tottenham’s vice-captain under Villas-Boas and was a player the manager rated highly.

The speedy winger could enjoy a career resurgence similar to Scott Sinclair if he moved to Scotland.

Lucas Piazon

Lucas Piazon of Chelsea in action during the pre-season friendly match between Chelsea and Olympique Lyonnais at Stamford Bridge on August 7, 2018 in London, England.

Brazilian playmaker Lucas Piazon was a burgeoning prodigy at Chelsea under Villas-Boas.

Remarkably he remains at Chelsea at the age of 25.

The playmaker is now at Chievo on loan at Celtic should look to bring him in on a permanent deal and make him feel valued in a way Chelsea haven’t done in previous years.

Kyle Naughton

Celtic need a right-back and Swansea City’s Kyle Naughton would be a solid addition.

Naughton starred at Spurs under Villas-Boas and has just turned 30.

He has made more than 130 appearances for Swansea since 2015 and he would be an ideal addition for the Scottish champions.
