N’Diaye made a rare start during Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 1-0 win at Birmingham City on Monday.
Ruben Neves’ suspension saw Alfred N’Diaye handed his first start for Wolverhampton Wanderers since Halloween against Birmingham City on Tuesday.
Leo Bonatini scored again for Wolves – his ninth goal in his last 10 games and 11th overall this season – who sat on their lead for 82 minutes to extend their gap to 10 points over third-place Bristol City.
The rest of the match was not without incident, however, with Harlee Dean seeing red for Birmingham, and N’Diaye perhaps fortunate not to receive his marching orders after appearing to push the face of Blues midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld.
And many Wolves fans will be glad for Neves’ return, based on the following tweets.
N’Diaye moved to Wolves on deadline day from La Liga outfit Villarreal, to whom he is due to return at the end of his season-long loan spell.
According to Transfermarkt, Wolves do, however, have an option to buy the Senegal international, who has also had spells at Sunderland and Hull City in the Premier League, should they wish to.
