Liverpool have received some good news regarding Sadio Mane ahead of next week’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.
Mane went off injured in the first half of Senegal’s World Cup qualifier on Thursday night.
With Liverpool’s injury record this season and last, some fans of the Anfield club were fearing another big blow.
But Mane’s manager at international level claimed that his substitution was ‘nothing serious‘ and that it was a mere precaution.
However, some Liverpool fans aren’t really buying it.
Here’s how they responded to Aliou Cisse’s comments on Twitter:
Vital
Mane, a £30 million signing in 2016, has been a vital player for Liverpool down the years.
And truthfully, he remains just as important as ever.
Well, Jurgen Klopp has a little more flexibility these days, after signing Diogo Jota in 2020.
But the former Southampton livewire is still a massive player for the Merseysiders and they’ll need him against Arsenal – and, of course, beyond that.
He has netted eight goals in 15 games across all competitions this season, illustrating his importance.
