The Everton players who deserve to be dropped against West Ham after poor displays against Southampton at the weekend.
(R-L) Morgan Schneiderlin, Idrissa Gueye and Ashley Williams of Everton look dejected after the third Southampton goal during the Premier League match.
Everton’s sorry season to date continued on Sunday (November 26) as they were completely outclassed at Southampton in a 4-1 Premier League defeat.
There were poor performances all over the pitch but ahead of the visit of fellow strugglers West Ham United to Goodison Park on Wednesday (November 29), here are three Toffees players who should be dropped.
Kevin Mirallas of Everton and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg of Southampton during the Premier League match.
Kevin Mirallas
Having also started in the 5-1 hammering from Atalanta in the Europa League three days prior, it was a poor week for Mirallas who once again offered very little going forwards.
The Toffees may be struggling for options out wide but the 30-year-old no longer seems to be the answer with his heavy touches and lack of end product.
Morgan Schneiderlin
Looks a shadow of the player who impressed English football fans with his performances for the Saints, which earned him a big money move to Manchester United.
Having failed to settle at Old Trafford early signs of improvement on Merseyside following another move have all but gone and Schneiderlin now looks to be a complete liability in central midfield.
Idrissa Gueye and Ashley Williams of Everton during the Premier League match against Southampton.
Ashley Williams
The decline of Williams since playing such a pivotal role for Wales at Euro 2016 has been alarming and unfortunately for Everton is has coincided with him joining them.
If Michael Keane wasn’t already injured he could also have been up for inclusion on this list as between them the centre-backs have been a massive reason as to why the club have the worst defensive record in the division.
