David Moyes guided West Ham to Premier League survival last season and will now be given a chance to shape the Hammers’ squad to his will.

The Scot’s big January signing was Jarrod Bowen from Hull and the wideman made the step up swiftly, playing a big part in their journey to safety.

With that in mind, we’ve looked at three more EFL players Moyes might want to take a look at this summer, because they look capable of making the jump to the top flight with similar ease.

Ollie Watkins

Michail Antonio did a fantastic job as a loan striker in the closing weeks of the season, offering far more of a goal threat than Sebastien Haller.

The issue is, he can’t be relied upon to stay fit for a whole season – and of course is a winger by trade, and might prefer to play there next term.

That means Moyes needs a frontman capable of providing pace, quality and goals – Brentford’s Ollie Watkins fits the bill.

The Bees might have failed to get promoted to the top flight, but it would be a surprise if Watkins isn’t a top flight player next season.

As per ExWHUEmployee, the Englishman is among those being looked at by the club.

Eberechi Eze

QPR’s Eze is an outstanding talent, capable of influencing matches from out wide or as more of a central playmaker.

He is too good for the R’s – who look unlikely to mount a promotion challenge next season – and has the class to make the jump.

Eze is another EXWHUEmployee says the club is looking at – and their interest has been covered by the Guardian and others.

They report QPR want £16 million for Eze, which is less than the £20 million Bowen cost (BBC), and it could be argued he’s a better player.

Said Benrahma

Benrahma provided so much creativity to Brentford’s ultimately unsuccessful promotion challenge.

That included 17 Championship goals and nine assists, as well as a string of eye-catching performances.

Would West Ham sign both Eze and Benrahma? Perhaps not, but landing one would add much-needed invention and spark that the likes of Felipe Anderson have failed to provide.

The Hammers need young, hungry players, and these three fit the bill.
