Son Heung-min made a lot of Tottenham Hotspur supporters very happy this week.
Well, the South Korea international has been achieving this all season long, having scored 20 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for Spurs since August.
But now he has made them delighted off the pitch after joining Twitter.
On May 3, Son posted his first-ever tweet, saying that he was ‘excited’ to begin using this social media website.
At the time of writing this, the 29-year-old has accumulated more than 280,000 followers already, but he’s only following 11 – and one of them is a reported Tottenham target.
One of the accounts Son is following belongs to Christian Eriksen.
Four weeks ago, iNews reported that the North Londoners were interested in signing the Denmark international this summer when his contract expires at Brentford.
Eriksen joined the Bees in January after winning a Serie A title under now-Tottenham manager Antonio Conte last summer.
So the fact he played under Conte, and of course spent most of his playing career as a Spurs player, are significant with regards to whether Eriksen could come back.
Yep, this rumour certainly has legs – and even more when you consider what Alasdair Gold reported late in April.
According to Gold, who exclusively covers Tottenham for Football London, the player is keen to stay in the English capital which, again, lends credibility to the prospect of the Lilywhites getting him.
It would be quite a fairytale for Spurs to re-sign their former playmaker and based on Son’s Twitter activity, he would be more than welcome back in the dressing room.
