Chelsea are ready to loan out Kurt Zouma and Crystal Palace, Everton and West Brom should all be interested.

The London Evening Standard reports that Chelsea are looking to loan Kurt Zouma out in 2017/18 as they look to sign either Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci or Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.

While the Blues don’t see Zouma as part of their plans currently, there are three other Premier League sides who would be greatly boosted by his signature.

Crystal Palace

One of Sam Allardyce’s best moves during his short tenure as Eagles manager was to secure Mamadou Sakho on loan; something which showed reinforcement was needed at the back.

Scott Dann and James Tomkins are good options, but Damien Delaney is now 35-years-old and probably past his best, so perhaps Zouma could offer some much needed competition.

Ahead of a year back in the Europa League the Toffees are looking very sparse in central defence, with Ashley Williams the only one who can truly be relied upon.

Captain Phil Jagielka has looked increasingly shaky, while Mason Holgate and Matthew Pennington are promising talents but could use someone like Zouma to take some of the pressure off them.

Tony Pulis’ whole ethos is around keeping things tight at the back and utilising set pieces to nab goals at the other end, so only having Jonny Evans and 36-year-old Gareth McAuley as centre-backs currently is something that will need to change.

Zouma is a physical presence so would suit Pulis’ style, and at 22-years-old offers youth and energy to go alongside the experience of Evans and McAuley.
