Brendan Rodgers wants to sign a pass-master for Celtic this summer but can he use his relationship with Chelsea to land one of these three?

Brendan Rodgers insists that his relationship with Chelsea is “strong” despite Charly Musonda ending an 18-month loan spell with Celtic a year early.
Things didn’t work out for Musonda at Parkhead as planned after joining the reigning Scottish champions in January, playing just eight times before the end of the season.

There was speculation that Rodgers’ failure to get the best out of the 21-year-old would hamper his ability to sign more players from Stamford Bridge – where he spent four years as a coach – but the Northern Irishman told the Daily Mail; “my relations there are very strong.”
It is known the 44-year-old is after a “midfield player who can make a pass and make a difference in the Champions League” this summer, as quoted by the Daily Record, so which Blues playmakers could he target?
Jeremie Boga
Played just 18 minutes of the opening day 3-2 Premier League defeat to Burnley before being hauled off following Gary Cahill’s red card and subsequently loaned to Birmingham City.
Boga has played 34 times for the Championship club this term and has the ability to play anywhere in attacking midfield, often operating from the left flank but also able to switch to the right and in behind the striker,
Kasey Palmer
Played 27 times and scored four goals for Huddersfield Town in 2016/17 to help them to a surprise promotion from the second tier of English football.
Spent the first half of this campaign back at the John Smith’s Stadium before leaving for Derby County in January to then help the Rams to the playoffs this time around. Best used as a number ten.

Lucas Piazon
Another who has impressed in the Championship in 2017/18, Piazon has netted six times in 26 appearances for Fulham on their way to a Wembley final with Aston Villa.
Now aged 24 the Brazilian has been with Chelsea for six-and-a-half years but has only ever played three times for them and with the ability to play on either wing is an attractive and creative prospect.
