West Ham and Brighton stars among three cheaper alternatives for Everton than Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Swansea City are determined to keep hold of star man Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer despite interest from Everton.
Wales Online outlines that while no official bid from the Toffees has been forthcoming as yet, their proposed offer of £30m for Sigurdsson will be rejected by the Swans anyway.

So if it will cost upward of £30m to land the Iceland international, here are three cheaper alternatives the Merseysiders should perhaps consider instead.
Anthony Knockaert
Fresh on the back of winning Championship player of the year after scoring 15 league goals in Brighton and Hove Albion’s successful promotion campaign, ESPN linked Everton with a move for Knockaert.
They believe a bid of around £20m will tempt the Seagulls into selling their 25-year-old creative midfielder, who can operate in any position behind the striker.
Manuel Lanzini
If reports from the Mirror are to be believed, then Lanzini would not be much cheaper than Sigurdsson with West Ham United slapping a £30m price-tag on the Argentine.
That said, they may be forced to settle for less if the 24-year-old is tempted to Goodison Park – with the Guardian reporting interest – by the promise of higher wages and European football.
Everton’s Ross Barkley
Ross Barkley
Rumours over Barkley’s future have been ongoing for some time and with the England international about to enter the final year of his current contract, according to the Metro, Ronald Koeman will sell the midfielder if he does not sign a new one.
Koeman is also understood to be unsure if the 23-year-old fits into his plans, but should the Dutchman be doing more to develop a homegrown player already at the club so that he can potentially become the focal point of the team; rather than delving into the transfer market for an expensive alternative?
