Leeds linked Liam Lindsay had claimed a Partick exit may be necessary for his career, and he is being proved right.

Leeds United were reported late last year to be scouting Partick Thistle centre-back Liam Lindsay, with the Daily Record claiming the Whites had put together a dossier on the player.
Lindsay, 21, has been in impressive form this season, managing to score seven goals.
Now Lindsay might just have been given a jolt into pushing for a move.
He warned earlier this month he may have to quit Partick Thistle for a more high profile club in order to achieve international recognition.
He told BBC Sport: “It’s quite sad to be honest. Bigger clubs have more power. It shouldn’t really matter. If you’re playing well, you should be looked at and called up.
“The English Premier League, that’s the highest. Realistically, [I’m] looking to head down south. That’s where you get the recognition and obviously the money is better.”
Lindsay was this week snubbed again by Scotland as the latest international squad was announced, despite his continuing impressive form.
Teammate Danny Devine questioned his omission, telling Herald Scotland: “I think we’re all surprised.
“I’ve played alongside Liam all season and he’s a great young talent. He’s still very young, but he’s a huge presence in the team.”
Lindsay’s performances have helped unfancied Thistle into sixth place in the Scottish Premiership this season.
