Burnley are on the verge of signing Leyton Orient’s Lawrence Vigouroux years after being released by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lawrence Vigouroux is nearing a Premier League opportunity with a move to Burnley now though to be close.

That is according to The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards, who reports that Vigouroux is set to leave Leyton Orient.

Edwards claims that Vigouroux is heading to Burnley to join Vincent Kompany’s newly-promoted Clarets.

Burnley do already have a number of goalkeepers with Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Denis Franchi, Arijanet Muric and Will Norris.

Vigouroux will now be brought in as competition with the 29-year-old no doubt hoping to win the number one jersey.

Vigouroux is out of contract this summer and now look set to leave Leyton Orient on a free transfer.

Orient finished top of League Two this season, conceding just 34 goals in 46 games.

Vigouroux was named in the League Two Team of the Season and now looks set for the Premier League.

Lawrence Vigouroux was once let go by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur

Vigouroux has been through a fascinating career.

Born in Camden, Vigouroux started out at Brentford before joining Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs let Vigouroux go in 2014 and Liverpool were more than happy to snap him up after a trial spell.

Vigouroux lasted two years at Liverpool but was again let go, this time joining Swindon Town in a £400,000 deal.

Swindon turned his loan move permanent despite Vigouroux making headlines for the wrong reasons, infamously paying a £50 fine in pennies.

Vigouroux ended up on loan at Waterford and even moved over to Chile with Everton de Vina de Mar; Vigouroux has one Chile Under-20 cap to his name and qualifies through parentage.

Vigouroux has really got his career back on track with Leyton Orient, racking up more than 150 appearances for the club.

The 6ft 4in stopper has always been talented but lost his way a little.

Now seemingly on the verge of a shock Premier League move, Vigouroux may now have a chance to face Liverpool and Tottenham next season.
