Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is reportedly wanted by Stoke City and West Ham United.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has decided that he needs to leave the club in order to play first-team football – and both Stoke City and West Ham United are keen, despite a £28m price tag and £120,000-a-week wages.
Sturridge, 27, may have been the runner up for the Premier League’s Golden Boot during the 2013-14 season, but his career has somewhat stagnated since that 21-goal campaign.

The England international has played just 34 games since the end of the 2013/14 season, scoring 12 goals – but he’s yet to find the net in the Premier League this season.
Sturridge has been left out of the Liverpool starting line-up for much of the season, as Roberto Firmino has been Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice striker, with Sturridge starting just four Premier League games this season.
England’s Daniel Sturridge celebrates scoring against Scotland
Sturridge has though hit four goals in just two EFL Cup games, and even scored for England against Scotland on Friday evening as he led the line for Gareth Southgate’s side – but The Mirror claim that Sturridge has decided that his future lies away from Liverpool, sparking interest in his signature.
It’s claimed that Stoke City are keen despite signing Wilfried Bony on loan from Manchester City on deadline day in August, whilst West Ham United are also interested given their search for a striker.
Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge
Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza have both failed to make an impact since joining the club on loan over the summer, and Sturridge – a proven Premier League goalscorer – would fit the bill perfectly.
However, it’s added that Liverpool would demand £28m for Sturridge, and when you factor in his alleged wages of £120,000-a-week, it could prove to be a costly deal for the Hammers to pull off., especially with no European football to fall back on.
