At the time of writing, Tottenham talisman Harry Kane has scored 48 goals in 67 appearances for England, a remarkable tally for a stunning player.

The 28-year-old is just six goals away from breaking Wayne Rooney’s record of 53 goals for the Three Lions, which he managed in 119 games.

Surely, with Kane’s immense quality, the £200,000-a-week man is easily going to break that record, probably in his next few outings for the Three Lions.

However, he won’t stop there.

What’s the story?

Well, we believe Kane is going to score so many goals for England, that nobody will ever be able to break his record.

As aforesaid, the Tottenham No.10 is just 28 years of age, so he still has many years to score goals for his country.

What is key here is that Kane is not somebody who is entirely dependant on physical attributes, so as he gets older, he should still be able to trouble defenders even if he loses a bit of speed.

The Tottenham Academy graduate possesses phenomenal technical skills, and has fantastic positioning inside the area.

Therefore, Kane should be able to score goals throughout the latter stages of his career.

Move over Wayne Rooney

Rooney will probably be sick of Kane by the time he’s retired, as he could take another of his England records.

The Manchester United icon is also the most-capped outfield player in Three Lions history with 119 caps, which we think Kane will surpass for the aforementioned reasons.

The Spurs forward is a tremendous athlete and takes good care of himself, so there’s no reason why he can’t play for England late into his thirties.

If a new frontman muscles him out of the way, Kane has also shown he’s good enough technically to drop into midfield and dictate play.

Even if he doesn’t break Rooney’s records, there’s no denying that Kane will go down in history as one of the nation’s footballing greats.
