Philippe Coutinho is officially an Aston Villa player after the club announced his unveiling on Tuesday evening, as they posted on Twitter.
Whilst one new face is officially through the club’s doors, another potential signing may have just dropped a subtle hint about also joining the Brazil superstar in B6.
Everton left-back, Lucas Digne, is also seemingly close to moving to Villa Park and he liked Coutinho’s Instagram post about joining the club, as you can see below.
Well, with Coutinho now in B6, in a Villa shirt, posting on social media about his arrival and already touring Bodymoor Heath.
The Villa fans will be hoping it won’t be too long before Digne is doing the same and showcasing himself in their colours.
If or when the Midlands side sign Digne, then they are expected to pay £25 million for the player’s talents, as reported by Sky Sports.
Added with that, it seems as though Steven Gerrard has beaten off competition from the likes of Newcastle, West Ham and Chelsea for the 28-year-old’s signature.

If that’s the case then, along with Coutinho, Villa have sent out a serious signal of intent to their rivals by signing both these players this month.
More than likely, Coutinho will be used as a number ten and on the left of a front three by Gerrard.
If the Villa boss does use him on that left channel, then the playmaker’s relationship with Digne down that flank is going to be quite something.
Either way, ahead of Villa’s home clash against Manchester United on Saturday evening, fitness issues aside, Coutinho should be available, but will Digne be signed up in time?
