Sergio Reguilon has namedropped two Tottenham players after being asked how he’s settling in to life at the north London club.

The Spain international, who signed from Real Madrid for £27 million in the summer, mentioned Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Heung-min Son when asked how his early Tottenham days have been.

Reguilon told Cadena Ser (via Goal): ‘It gets dark at five o’clock! It’s a different league and style but I adapt well to new situations… I get on great with my team-mates. Son and Hojbjerg are good guys.’

You wouldn’t have thought that the 23-year-old was a fresh face at Tottenham given his impressive start to the campaign.

Reguilon has already racked up three assists in seven games so far this term, impressing with his directness down the left flank and also his excellent end product.

What makes his form all the more impressive is the fact that he’s never played outside of Spain before – his acclimatisation has been nothing short of superb.

It is interesting to see that Reguilon has only mentioned two Spurs players specifically when asked about his settling-in period.

That isn’t to say that we think he doesn’t believe the rest of his teammates are ‘good guys’ too, although Son and Hojbjerg have clearly made the biggest impression on him.

In the case of Hojbjerg, that is pleasing to hear. The Dane is also a new face at the club, but is clearly showing his leadership skills in helping another new face to acclimatise.
