Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has given his take on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool after last night’s match, as quoted on BBC Sport (18:37).
Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The Reds took the lead in the 13th minute when Mohamed Salah converted a penalty.
Jesus – who cost City £27 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Palmeiras in January 2017, as reported by The Sun – restored parity on 31 minutes for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The 23-year-old Brazil international striker has given his verdict on Liverpool.
BBC Sport (18:37) quotes Jesus as saying: “It was a top game. We know they work hard and have a lot of amazing players. We had a chance to win the game.
“Both teams wanted to win. Sometimes when it’s like this you have to control the ball more. We have to keep playing like this and try to convert the chances.
“We played at home and we have to win the games here. The result is not good for us and maybe it’s good for them.”
