Liverpool should consider a move for the Belgian right-back before next week’s deadline.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been very quiet in the transfer window so far this summer.
The Reds have bought in only two players – youngsters Harvey Elliot from Fulham and Sepp van den Berg from Zwolle.
And neither of those will feature regularly for Liverpool this season.
One particular area of concern or Klopp will be his right-back department, with Nathaniel Clyne having picked up an injury last month.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is Liverpool’s clear number one right-back, but more competition could be required in order to keep the young Englishman on his toes.
And with this in mind, the Reds should make a move for Paris Saint-Germain ace Thomas Meunier.
Experience
The PSG man has made 342 senior appearances for club and country and that kind of experience could be a real asset for Liverpool.
Attacking intent
The Belgium international is an attacking full-back in every sense, making him ideally suited to Klopp’s setup at Anfield.
At 27, Meunier still has his best years ahead of him, and he would provide great competition for Alexander-Arnold.

Availability and value
French publication Le 10 Sport claims that Meunier could be available for just £27.5 million this summer, and that would represent truly brilliant value for Liverpool.
The Belgian is a truly top-class performer, and it could be argued that he would improve even further still under the guidance of Klopp.
And he might just be the signing that helps Liverpool reach another level this season…if that is at all possible.
