Chelsea forward Timo Werner could leave Stamford Bridge this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, with Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United reportedly interested in him.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has reported on Twitter that Juventus are interested in signing Werner, and that the Germany international forward “could really leave Chelsea this summer”.
Bild journalist Christian Falk has claimed on Twitter that Newcastle are interested in the 26-year-old forward, who earns £270,000 per week (The Sun) at Chelsea.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Newcastle United are unlikely to be able to sign Timo Werner from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Werner has won the UEFA Champions League and challenged for the Premier League title with Chelsea.
Newcastle are unlikely to even challenge for the Premier League top six next season.
Now, of course, the former RB Leipzig star would want to play regularly, but he is likely to get a club for next season who would challenge for the Champions League places.
Maybe a top club in Germany will come for Werner, especially as the forward did so well during his time at Leipzig.
